PDE releases PVAAS 3 year rolling average scores via the PVAAS website at https://pvaas.sas.com Once released by PDE, PVAAS score reports can be exported and uploaded into PA-ETEP by School District Admin users.  Uploaded reports (see attached example) can then be viewed by building principals/supervisors within the Teacher Specific Rating section of the 82-1 form (see attached screen grab) or from their Administration tab menu.

To upload PVAAS scores/reports into PA-ETEP, School District Admin users should complete the following...

Step 1 - Visit https://pvaas.sas.com/ and export the relevant 3 year rolling average PVAAS score report(s).

  • Most Appropriate PVAAS Report - For detailed instructions on downloading the most appropriate teacher report from PVAAS that includes all applicable teachers and their 0-3 scaled PVAAS score, click here.  The 1:43 minute mark of the video indicates the recommended report.  For written directions on how to export scores from PVAAS, see the attached document called "How to Export Teacher Value Added Data.".
  • File Type - When downloading files from PVAAS, please select the .xls or .xlsx file type.  If you download the PVAAS file as a .csv file and upload it into PA-ETEP, it may not render properly.

Step 2 - Log into PA-ETEP

Step 3 - From the Administration tab, select the PVAAS Reports tab.

Step 4 - Select the appropriate school year and upload the 3 year rolling average PVAAS score reports.

  • When uploading, please consider how the file is named as this is how your supervisors will identify it.
  • Once uploaded into PA-ETEP, building principals/supervisors can access and view these reports via the quick view icon within the Teacher Specific Rating section of the 82-1 form (see attached screen grab) or from their Administration tab menu.
