PA-ETEP now has the option for electronic signatures on all 13 forms.
Important Note - Electronic signatures are not required by the system. In other words, a supervisor is not required by the system to enter an electronic signature in order to submit an 13 form to a teacher/NTPE. Nor is a teacher/NTPE required to open and sign a completed 13 form. Therefore, if a district wants their supervisors and teachers/NTPEs to electronically sign-off on 13 forms, they must communicate this with them outside of the system. If a district would still like to print and secure physical signatures, they still can.
Directions for Teachers/NTPEs
Step 1 - Open the appropriate 13 form.
Step 2 - In the appropriate location (see image below), select the blue 'Click here to sign' button. With a mouse or touch pad/screen, sign in the signature box and click 'Accept'. Once accepted, the signature will save automatically.
Step 3 - Close the 13 form.
Important Notes
- If the blue 'Click here to sign' button does not appear, try clearing your cache.
- When an electronic signature is entered on an 13 form, PA-ETEP does not send the supervisor an email notification. The electronic signature is simply saved.
- When printed, 13 forms will include any electronic signatures that have been applied.
- When an electronic signature is entered into PA-ETEP, it is saved for use on future 13 forms.
